Summer Writing
For the past six weeks I have been re-working my next book, The Forgotten Artist. This is a wonderful biography of Evylena Nunn Miller; my great aunt, who was a landscape artist born in 1888. Not only was she a great and well-known artist in her time but a writer and teacher as well. What is amazing to me is her knowledge about marketing and net-working. My books would be selling like ‘hot cakes’ if she was in charge. The more I learn about her, the more fascinated I have become. Thanks to two wonderful ladies at the Bower’s Museum in Santa Ana, I was able to spend two days studying documents, most of which I had not seen before. Thank you Laura Belani and Victoria Gerard! And while I am saying ‘thanks’, a special thanks goes to Mary Anne Lyles who began this writing and did mountains of research. This has been an enormous, challenging and rewarding project. I look forward to sharing the completed work!
