The Forgotten Artist
March is Women’s History Month. As far as I am concerned this is Evylena Nunn Miller’s month. Born on July 4, 1888, she became a great teacher and artist. This was a time when women were to stay at home to raise vegetables and children. Instead Evylena followed her passion, painting hundreds of canvasses, giving many away to friends, family and organizations, and helping women to be viewed as equals with male artists.
