January 2022
The past year and a half have been very difficult for all of us. Not only did COVID shut our world down, but as most of you know, my home and thousands of others were burned to the ground in September, 2020. Books to be published were put on hold as was everything else.
But 2022 looks hopeful. Not a promise, but hopeful. After many postponements, I will be giving a presentation of Dearest Minnie, live or on Zoom, May 19, 2022 at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum.
May 21st, I will give a presentation on The Forgotten Artist, Evylena Nunn Miller’s Story, at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana. And I am privileged to say, I will again talk about Evylena on Sunday, May 22nd at the Presbyterian Church in Santa Ana. Evylena gave ten of her paintings to this church from her travels to the Holy Land.
I am hoping I can locate many more locals of interested people who want to become acquainted with a woman who worked to open avenues for other women artists; to become recognized as equal to men.
Thank you everyone for your continued support.
